Some ministries have resumed and we are adjusting to virtual meetings.

NEW: Outdoor Mass begins next Sunday, Sept 6th at 9:30 am

We are pleased to announce that St. Matthias is now prepared to celebrate one Mass per weekend outdoors! Mass will be at 9:30 am on Sunday mornings starting on Sunday, September 6th. All are welcome!
This Mass will also be live-streamed. (The Saturday 5:00 pm Mass will be discontinued).

To attend outdoor Mass, please bring your own chair(s), hats and sunglasses (if desired). Mass will be in the area behind the Rectory Carport (the area we refer to as the “back-forty”).

There are no County Health Department imposed limits on the number of attendees that we can accommodate outdoors, so please feel free to bring your family and friends.

Please park in the Rectory parking lot and walk to the back of the property. Lisa and Sabrina will be there to greet you. Please proceed to one of the chalk circles on the ground and set up your chair(s).

The bulletin will serve as a worship aid. If you have questions, please email Sabrina.

Our Sunday 9:30 am Mass will be live-streamed to our YouTube channel “Live Streams from St. Matthias in Redwood City.” Please subscribe to the channel for easier access.

St. Charles will offer one Mass per weekend, Sunday 8:30 am outdoors in the parking lot between the Parish Center and Church. Folks are invited to bring their own chairs. This Mass will also be live streamed to St. Charles’ Facebook page.

If you miss the live stream, videos of each weekend Mass are available on YouTube and Facebook and our parish website, www.stmatthiasparish.org.

Twenty-second Sunday in Ordinary Time

So far, 2020 has been quite a year and it’s only August.  The other day, someone said to me, “Can we skip over the rest of this year and go straight to 2021?”  Sounds good to me.  I am reminded of a familiar phrase written by 17th century English poet, John Milton, “Every cloud has a silver lining.” Click here to read more.

Due to the restrictions in place because of the global pandemic, all worship aids were removed from Church except the weekly bulletin. This now contains the readings for Sunday Mass, prayer requests and Mass Intentions. You can receive this resource to your email inbox by subscribing or at Mass.
