We’re Still Here

Volume 6, Issue 4: Sunday, September 27, 2020

OUTDOOR MASS Each Sunday at 9:30 am
Some ministries have resumed and we are adjusting to virtual meetings.

A nod to the founding members of the parish community, utilizing a new way to communicate and stay in touch.

Our Mass Schedule Will Change Next Weekend

Last week, San Mateo County moved into the “red” level on the state COVID monitoring system which means that we are now able to resume Masses indoors with 25% capacity or up to 100 people whichever is less. Our Prayer and Worship Commission will be meeting later this week to discuss our Mass schedule, but tentatively, our schedule will be: Saturday 5:00 pm Mass (in the Church) and Sunday 9:30 am Mass (outdoors).

A supplemental edition of The Matthian will be sent on Friday, October 2nd with an announcement about the decision. Please watch your inbox!

If you have questions, please email Sabrina.

*This mornings Mass was interrupted by inappropriate music. The livestream video was removed from our YouTube channel. If you missed Mass this morning, please visit St. Charles’ Facebook page and view their 8:30 am Mass livestream.

Mass is live-streamed to our YouTube channel “Live Streams from St. Matthias in Redwood City.” Please subscribe to the channel for easier access.

St. Charles will offer one Mass per weekend, Sunday 8:30 am outdoors in the parking lot between the Parish Center and Church. Folks are invited to bring their own chairs. This Mass will also be live streamed to St. Charles’ Facebook page.

If you miss the live stream, videos of each weekend Mass are available on YouTube and Facebook and our parish website, www.stmatthiasparish.org.

Twenty-sixth Sunday in Ordinary Time

A few days ago, my family and close friends gathered to celebrate the life of my 97 year old mother in law.  In many ways, she was my second Mother.  We told stories and shared so many wonderful memories.  We will all miss her, especially my son who loved his grandmother in a very special way. Click here to read more.
