Our Middle School Youth (MSYM) (5-8th graders) will meet once a month on a Wednesday evening from 6-8pm to learn more about their faith with their peer group.
These gatherings will be discussion and activity based and will use two resources: The Catholic Connections Handbook and the Breakthrough Bible.
This is designed to provide a forum for youth to discuss important issues in their lives while exploring what the Church teaches about specific topics. It will be led by experienced catechists, but parents will be encouraged to help lead activities and/or provide food for the gatherings.
This program is for all Middle School aged youth in the parish, those attending Catholic Schools are welcome to participate.
This group is also responsible for serving at the annual Maple Street Shelter Dinner.

Our High School Youth will meet once a month on a Sunday evening from 5-7pm to learn more about their faith with the peer group.
These gatherings will be discussion based and will use two resources: YouCat (the Youth Catechism) and the Catholic Youth Bible, and will follow the US Bishops Curriculum Framework for High School.
These gatherings are designed to provide a forum for young people to discuss important issues in their lives while exploring what the Church teaches about specific topics. It will be lead by experienced catechists and the God Squad (which is made up of High School Youth that have already been Confirmed) – however, all High School Youth, whether or not they are enrolled/have completed Confirmation are encouraged to attend.
This group will also be responsible for the Haunted House at Oktoberfest and our parish Christmas Party: Breakfast with Santa.

In an effort to help parents keep their children safe, the Archdiocese of San Francisco offers the following programs for children (and their parents) to complete.
For 4-12th Graders: There are on-line courses available for each grade level. These courses can be assessed at www.shieldthevulnerable.org. It is mandatory that the appropriate course be completed BEFORE Dec 31st. Please send a copy of the completion certificate to the parish office, ATTN: Sabrina Harper.
We are mandated by the U.S. Bishops to offer these courses and required to complete “Compliance Reports” at the end of each year. To help us reach our goal of 100% compliance, please complete the course by Dec 31st.
